About me

AURELIE CHOI

Hi! I’m Aurelie, a student from Princeton, New Jersey, who’s passionate about East Asian Studies and the way language, history, and everyday cultural practices shape how communities understand themselves. My journey began with learning Mandarin in middle school. It grew through experiences such as calligraphy, cultural exchange programs, and hands-on projects that helped me connect more deeply with my heritage and the broader East Asian world. I created this blog to share that passion with my community—especially younger students who might be curious but don’t know where to start. Here, you’ll find crafts inspired by East Asian traditions, ful cultural events, and accessible explanations of history, language, and identity. My goal is to make East Asian studies feel welcoming, creative, and alive, not just something you read about in a textbook.

Our Story

Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for thoughtful, lasting work. My blog began as a small idea: what if learning about East Asian Cultures could feel hands-on, joyful, and community-driven, rather than distant or academic? As a student passionate about East Asian Studies, I wanted to create a space where people of all ages could explore traditions, languages, and histories through crafts, cultural events, and creative storytelling.
