A Night Where Culture Took the Center Stage

On March 7th, the New Gym was transformed into a vibrant celebration of culture during the annual Princeton High School Asian Festival. Lanterns, music, and interactive booths created an immersive environment that welcomed students, families, and staff into an evening dedicated to cultural learning and community connection.

Throughout the event, attendees explored hands‑on activities including calligraphy, origami, and traditional arts. At the calligraphy station, visitors received guidance from both student volunteers and a calligraphy master, who demonstrated the evolution of characters such as , highlighting the historical meaning embedded in each stroke.

As the night progressed, the gym filled to capacity for a diverse lineup of performances. K‑pop and Bollywood dance groups energized the audience, while traditional musicians on instruments such as the guzheng and erhu brought a sense of heritage and artistry to the stage. Each performance offered a window into the cultural traditions represented by the students.

What distinguished this year’s festival was the atmosphere of openness and curiosity. Audience members engaged enthusiastically with performances and booths, often asking questions, trying new activities, and sharing conversations across cultural backgrounds. The event fostered a sense of shared learning and community pride, making it one of the most memorable celebrations of the year.
